THE Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport (CITS) have confirmed a sporting facility given the working title Malaga sports precinct (MSP) is being built in the suburb of Whiteman (not Whiteman Park)
The precinct is located south of the Morley-Ellenbrook train line, adjacent to Ballajura station and north of Marshall Road
Malaga Sports Precinct – $20 million towards development of new precinct including indoor and outdoor infrastructure for AFL, rugby union/league, softball, volleyball and basketball, including high performance facilities
An investment of $20 million has been committed to finalise concept design and commence site investigations, to ensure the precinct meets the long-term needs of the community
Stage 1 of the precinct is set to deliver dedicated purpose-built facilities for a variety of sporting codes, including rugby league, rugby union and AFL
